1983 was for us "La Belle Époque" (The Beautiful Era): our first child was born and, almost at the same time (one month later), so was our antique shop. It was after a long chain of events and by our love for heritage that we started our profession of antiquary. We have safeguarded and nurtured all of these articles, small and big, that were made and used by those who have preceded us. My wife and I believe in the future of our business because more and more people are becoming aware of our past and believe that we should preserve these objects, these tangible witnesses to the past.

You will also find on the website our recent line of reproduction of font or cast iron articles that are made of antique pieces. This section includes : eleven models of balusters (railings) or balcony posts, axillas (ornaments for balcony posts), knockers, garden ornaments, heat vents, doors for bread ovens and much more practical articles.

In 1993, during a trip to Western Canada, we noticed these little windmills (aeolians), 20 feet high and similar to the old models that most farms used in the past, being used to pump water from several feet underground. What we really like about these new prototypes is that they need very little maintenance compared to the first models that our grandfathers used; instead of working mechanically, they have a pneumatic system which limits to a minimum breakage related to repeated use. To know more about the working of the windmills and its multiple advantages, click on the tag ‘‘ Les Moulins à vent de Cacouna ’’ (The Windmills of Cacouna).

We hope you have a nice tour of our website!
